Things I love: flea markets, apricot tea, side of the road fruit stands, folk music, patchwork quilts, farmer's markets, good stories and storytellers, strong coffee, the way I've been lost and found in motherhood, being able to laugh at myself, the way my bread dough feels in my palms and fingertips, the smell of it rising, taking random country roads and getting delightfully lost, rosemary, learning new things (especially from people who are passionate about the subject), the pursuit of truth, word pictures, a grace that never runs out, windchimes, tree roots that peek above the earth, the way a traintrack looks that curves around out of sight...how all these things remind me there is so much more....people who wink, belly laughs, black bananas, hanging fruit baskets, my ornery, gap-toothed, harmonica-playing cinnamon-eyed boys, the way my husband's and my love story happened backwards...just kids playing house who almost lost it all, grew up and grew together, frayed ends, fused together in Him, good stories..I'm pretty crazy about the way my own is turning out. |
