Introduction	I wrote "One Moon Away" from the perspective of a military spouse, looking at the moon and longing for her husband. I was inspired to write this after reading about military families, troop morale and the difficulty soldiers and their families sometimes have communicating when they're worlds apart. Nighttime is a common time of quiet reflection. I imagine the moon as their point of reference. When a person looks into the night sky, she knows her loved one, no matter where he is, can gaze at the same moon.
