Introduction	I'm a media student with a passion for writing and a strong belief in humanity. I have always struggled with the concept of a blog, perhaps a little contradictory for somebody who loves to write. I do not consider myself a very public person. I’m the quiet observer, or “quiet achiever” as my school report cards so often used to read. I don’t seek out the spotlight because more often than not I harshly question the value of my thoughts before putting them out to receive a public review and generally opt to keep them to myself where they are safe from scrutiny. The realm of blogging brings to mind one particular quote from Plato which I believe sums it up well: “Wise men speak because they have something to say; Fools because they have to say something”. I have no desire to be the fool, much less a public one but I don’t make any particular claim on being wise (nor a “man” for that matter). My only hope is that the thoughts I post can be attributed some value by the contributions of others who share in a similar outlook on life.
