| Introduction | JEWS RESCUED JEWS DURING THE HOLOCAUST (JRJ) Our goal is to recognize and admire Jews who went above and beyond to rescue other Jews during the Holocaust. Although most Jews did not have the chance to fight for their own lives, there were those who performed acts of heroism at enormous risk or by sacrificing their own lives, in order to rescue fellow Jews. Our goal is to collect the maximum amount of information on the phenomenon itself and about those Jewish heroes; to bring this information to the public – Jews and non-Jews alike; to have the Jewish people in its entirety recognize these heroes thus delivering an important message to youth and all Jews in general – that not only did ‘The Righteous Among The Nations’ bravely risk their lives to save Jews, but that hundreds, perhaps thousands of Jews did the same, under the most difficult of circumstances to save other Jews. |
