| Introduction | Growing up in Northwestern Connecticut, I've always been in love with the seasons, local flora and the beauty of nature (and old stone walls!). Having found my way to horticulture at a young age, I have always been happier with "my hands in the earth". Educated and trained as a horticulturalist holding a degree in Horticulture and Masters in Plant Science, I am facinated by the inner-workings of plants as well as hands-on work. First Bloom Farm* LLC (est. 2009) is my first solo venture in flower farming. I strive to produce beautiful high-quality flowers, and ornamental material that are seasonal in our unique growing area. Production is managed in a sustainable way, using only cultural practices that do not harm or tax the field. Purchasing FBF flowers and ornamentals, means enjoying the best of the season and letting the outdoors in! *First Bloom Farm is named for my love the beautiful soft and modern willow catkins of the "pussy willow"--the first crop planted, and a FBF staple. |
