| Introduction | I was a very driven, Type-A personality who worked full-time as a Paramedic while finishing my Bachelor's Degree in Business Management. I trashed my right shoulder so after 3 surgeries the doctor informed me that I had "better find a new way to do medicine." So, I got a Master's Degree and became a Physician's Assistant. After only 6 years of working as a PA-C, I was stricken with CHRONIC LYME DISEASE W/BABESIA from an untreated tick bite 12 years prior and I became permanently disabled. For the last 7 years, I have been bedridden, fighting for my life against this heinous disease. |
