| Introduction | 16 hours a day, 7 days a week I take care of a young man with severe disabililites. Being a caregiver is not what I do...it is WHO I am. I can no more separate myself from taking care of others than I can stop breathing...and even if I tried....I know now, that somehow, life would lead me to something, or someone who needed care. Whether it is one of the many animals rescued and saved as a child, my children, caring for a bed bound Mother for many years,or my work now, life often has led me in a path I might not have chosen for myself, but rather has led me down the path I was supposed to take. It has been a long journey and has brought much happiness to my life. It has also given me purpose, hope, and many reasons to be thankful. So here I am..What's next? |
