| Introduction | I was born and raised in Victoria, BC on the southern tip of Vancouver Island. I spent most of my youth swimming up and down pools as a competitive swimmer. I later moved to Vancouver where I became very involved in the sport of open water swimming. I love the ocean. It is a very peaceful and spiritual place to be immersed in. Whether I am swimming, surfing, fishing, or diving, I feel most alive when I am in the water. Swimming the English Channel has been a lifelong dream.
