| Introduction | Fumbling through my childhood in lllinois with regular visits to family in the hills of Western Pennsylvania is foundation for my present challenges of our teenage and young adult children, my vocation as a history teacher, and the demands of a typical week in small town America. While inspired by human rights champions, world religions, and thoughts of travel, my afternoons are most often powered by vanilla Cokes, sanity is sought in laughter with friends, and evenings are met with a desperate need for sleep. When left to my own devices I can be found reading or working on projects while slothed-out in a hooded sweatshirt. |
