| Introduction | I'm a mom to two young teenage kids - one homeschooled almost exclusively until this year, and the other, born with just one hand. I am a former flight attendant who grew up as a "Third Culture Kid" (3CK) traveling around the world and living in such memorable places as Iran, Costa Rica and Louisiana (Geaux Tigers!). I still travel the world - only now it's on a space available basis as the spouse of my airline pilot/former fighter pilot husband. I attribute my strong, conservative, LCMS Lutheran faith as being the foundation of what has sustained me through life's many crazy twists and turns. My mind wanders in many unrelated directions: mid-century decor, home renovation, thrifting, genealogy, travel, politics & the beach . And just to mix things up a bit, I love watching old classic movies and admit to guiltily watching "The Bachelorette" on occasion. I'm a long term "Survivor" and "Amazing Race" fan, too, but am just as content curled up with a good book or visiting local antique shops and flea markets. |
