| Introduction | I've been a "computer person" since I was a little kid. My father was a programmer and I grew up around them. This has served me well through the years, with my computer knowledge being responsible for the majority of my jobs. I now work as the Business Manager for Planetside Software, a small 3D software company. I get to work with movie studios and places like the California Academy of Sciences, so it's a pretty cool gig. I'm also fascinated by technology and even though I'm not doing IT as a day job anymore, I try to keep up-to-date. My day-to-day life is permeated so much by technology anyway that I can't but think and comment about it constantly. I'm an obsessive product researcher, which I hope can be of benefit to others as I share my experiences deciding on particular product purchases. I have a complicated relationship with writing. It's difficult for me to get started, but once I get going I usually write a lot. The problem with that is it can take a long time to go from the start of something to where I actually publish it. I'm working on that bit though, and hopefully I can build this blog up to something worth reading on a semi-regular basis. |
