Introduction	This blog is intended as a way to keep track of the small things I can find everyday to make life a little more special, and is dedicated especially to: My mother, for teaching me early on that everything tastes better when you make it yourself // My father, the wine/liquor man, for teaching me that you should always drink what you like // My friend Megan, for teaching me that every mistake is really a culinary opportunity in disguise // Our bunnies, Basil, Heather, & Jack, for reminding me that fresh-growing things are to be treasured // My husband Chris, for constantly reminding me that anything involving meat, especially bacon, is inherently wonderful // And for my grandfather Ed Copland, for teaching me that any real cocktail has a cherry in it.
