About me

Introduction	We are the proud new owners of a 1920s era brick 2 flat on the South Side of Chicago. We hope to do some minimal renovations as sustainably as possible. We also plan on creating a permaculture space in the back yard. We're thinking of veggies, maybe a fruit or nut tree or two, and chickens! We are in love with our friends' chickens and hope to offer a home to some lovely clucking ladies one day. Our challenges will be to keep a rental income coming, as we plan to rent out the bottom floor and live on the top. And of course to get our neighbors on board with all of our plans, which might seem a bit strange. We will be blogging this whole process as it unfolds.
