| Introduction | I began carving gourds after attending my hometown of Carmi, Illinois' fall festival, Corn Day, in October 2006. I was so intrigued by a lady's gourds featured in the artisan fest that I kept going back to her stand and eventually ordering one. When she delivered the gourd, we struck up a conversation and she told me all about gourds and her art. So I gave gourd art a try and here I am.
