| Introduction | the name myownbeat came from the fusion of both inspiration and frustration! the folks in my life and at work have always expressed that they are regularly inspired by my style, while others will grumble about the fact that i resist conformity, make things happen my own way, and usually tend to walk to "my own beat". i happen to consider that a compliment, embrace the concept, and could not live my life any other way! all of my work and creativity in the portraits i take are inspired by that concept. i know you will be inspired too! otherwise, i am just a woman who has had a real love for photography since my high school photo class days, processing film in the darkroom. while i resisted the jump to digital years later, i am now lovin’ every minute of it! i love to learn about people like you and your unique story: your history, loves, passions and inspirations...and of course... i’d love to capture and tell your story through my camera. so share your life, love, & rhythm and let my camera tell your story. let’s show the world how you walk to your own beat... |
