Introduction	We knew each other informally from working for the Gettysburg school district. There were "hellos" exchanged in the hallways and faraway glances, but on August 10th phone numbers given out. Our first date was the next day, a beautiful Saturday. We went out to dinner at the Crazy Horse Saloon, hiking at High Point, miniature golfing at MacDuffer's and finally ended up closing the bar at the Pike. I think we both knew then that if our first date could last 8 hours and we couldn't wait to hang out Sunday morning, this was something special. After 2 months we had a realtor (if you are buying a house in Gettysburg you have to see Mike Cherry!) and in a record 19 days bought our first home. A week later we hosted Easter dinner for both families (nothing like a deadline to get you motivated to unpack and buy furniture!). Dave surprised me we a puppy on my 25th birthday. 6 months later Dave asked me to marry him in front of hundreds of people on the ice rink in New York City beneath the Christmas tree. We got married on November 8th. It was the best day of my life. We are so lucky to have found each other and luckier to have such great friends and families to share our lives with.
