| Introduction | I am, like all of us, a work in progress. I learned from my mother the importance of family. Her number one lesson was that charity begins at home. I took this message very much to heart and spent much of my energy in this pursuit-in my original family, with my friends who became family and with my own personal family. I am married, have two grown children and two beautiful grand chiblets,-the most joyous part of my life. How can home be defined? Can it include those on Mother Earth who cannot speak for themselves? I have spent my life tilting at windmills, looking for justice for unprotected, the abused, the maligned, but I did not understand or know about the injustice I was perpetrating by using animal products for my own personal use. I needed to address some serious health issues by changing the way I ate. I did this with the help of my daughter who was embracing veganism for the right reason, for the reason that counts. So here I am today, wanting to spread the news, wanting to inform and to continue my own journey of enlightenment. This blog is one step out of many. I am super excited to see where it takes me. |
