| Introduction | As a fashion editor, I will be able to influence future trends and styles. I want to be able to have an effect on how people live their lives. As a child, I always wore two different colored socks to school. My parents couldn’t figure out why I was so excited when everyone decided to do the same. The reason for my excitement is the same as it is today. I love to persuade. I believe in beautiful clothing that makes women look and feel amazing. I also believe in fashion that pushes the limits and takes risks. I believe we are nothing without reform, change, and a grain of salt to determine when these are necessary. In my mind, clothing is the ultimate art expression because we are encompassed in it. It’s how we are perceived; it’s how we say everything about ourselves without saying anything. By choosing a career in fashion, I am choosing to directly impact how people feel about themselves and how they are accepted into the world. My contributions will allow a furtherance of the world of self expression in which no imagination is hindered. |
