| Introduction | We bridge the gap between the streets, hip-hop feminism/womanism, performance activism, and academia. We are a voice for disenfranchised womyn and youth, until they are empowered to assert themselves and use their own voice. We generate and disseminate new discourse and dialogue on girls, womyn and gender issues through creative expression. We work with educational and community-based organizations to effect social change that will result in greater equality, freedom, and fuller lives for womyn and youth. We provide students with opportunities to actively express their voice in university, community, and business organizations focused on serving womyn and youth. Most importantly, we provide girls and womyn with a safe space to actively express themselves and be unapologetically girl and womon. |
