| Introduction | I am a homeless man in Fresno, CA. When not writing, walking, bus riding, reading in libraries and bookstores, I lead a secret second life as a substitute teacher for Fresno Unified School District, grades K-12. I doff my street gear, don teacher attire, and swoop into obscure Fresno barrios and more upscale neighborhoods to teach--not babysit--students of all stripes and backgrounds.
