| Introduction | The Delaware Avenue Community Association is a non-profit, non-partisan civic group that solicits membership in the area bound by Pennsylvania Ave., the Brandywine River, North Adams St., & the railroad tracks. We provide a united voice for DACA residents to the city and other government bodies, monitor conditions in the neighborhood, foster neighborliness, and keep YOU informed of proposed zoning changes, area improvements, new businesses, and other local news. Our 5 yearly meetings give YOU the chance to voice YOUR concerns and hear speakers such as the mayor and the Del. Insurance Commissioner as well as reps from DelDOT, DNREC, DSWA, etc. We also sponsor special events such as Christmas Caroling and Community Yard Sales. DACA meetings are on the third Tuesday in September, November, January, March, & May, at 7:00 p.m. at the Del. Center for Horticulture at 1810 N. Dupont Street. The last meeting date before the summer break is: Tuesday, May 15, 2007. The Board meets the 1st Tuesday of each month. |
