Introduction	For years I have been wondering how to make my "mark" in the world. How to make a difference, and after years of searching I came across my answer. Being a Doula is the most rewarding profession I could have ever come across. I love teaching and educating women and men about the most amazing day of their lives. The day they welcome their child into the world. Years ago when I had my children, my mother came with me. I had no idea that Doula's existed. Though I loved having my mother with me, she didn't offer me the support I needed. Knowing what I know now, I wish I had had a support person to help her through the event. I would have loved having someone by my side who had one goal in mind. Assisting me to reach my goal with no worries about how she was feeling during the event. I would have loved someone informing me of all the consequences of my choices that night. What can you do right! Bottom line is I love what I do now and I intend on doing this for as long as I can. My job will never define who I am but it truly does exemplify the qualities I always have had. I love caring for others, what better day to do this on, then on the day of a child's birth!
