| Introduction | Kia Ora, My name is Susie and I am delighted to be a part of the Summer Learning Journey program this year as a blog commenter. I was born in Korea and have lived there until I turned ten, when I decided to travel to Canada by myself to study English. As you could imagine, I was a very brave 10-year-old! I absolutely loved my experience in Canada as a young child. Being immersed in a different culture and making new friends on the other side of the world has changed my life in the most positive way. I had to return to my family in Korea after a few years but I missed living overseas so much. Have a guess at which country I chose to go next... New Zealand! I came here when I turned year 9 and have lived here ever since. I absolutely fell in love with the nature and the people in this country, and I decided to call this place my home. Teachers have always been a big part of my life since they were supportive throughout my spontaneous life journey. I wish to do the same and give back to the community by spreading positivity and love. I look forward to reading each and every one of your blogs - we might share similar interests. Let’s have some fun during summer! |
| Interests | I am in love with painting, drawing, crafting, designing, photography, reading, yoga, mindfulness, swimming and MUCH more! It is important that we follow what we love, hold on to that passion and never let go! I personally believe that staying creative is super important because we are meant to be different and special in our own way. |
| Favorite movies | I have a lot of favourite movies so the list would go on forever.. Here is a few that I absolutely loved watching: 'Dead Poets Society', 'Jumanji', 'Forest Gump' and 'Alice in Wonderland'. |
| Favorite music | I love watching art performances such as musical theatre or opera. When I like to focus on my work, I usually listen to calming nature sounds. |
