Introduction	I am a 47 year old single teacher/musician. I am Italian American and a Roman Catholic Christian. During the past 7 years, i have observed myself, my family and friends begin to enter mid-life. Now that we are all 45-50 y/o- we are right smack in the middle of it. Some of us are truly in "crises" mode- I have decided to embrace mid-life and treat it as a journey instead. Some of my friends started blogs- so I said- "Why not?"- but what to write about... Part of my mid-life journey has been my resolution to lose weight and get healthy. 2 months ago I totally changed my eating habits- basically re-taught myself how to eat- and 1 month ago I began to work out at Curves. I had lost about 15-20 pounds since I started eating healthy and today I had my 1 month weigh-in at the gym and I had lost 10 more lbs. My weight today- 237- my goal weight- 180- hence the name "57 to go"....
Interests	Musical theater, playing guitar, producing, arranging, directing.
Favorite Movies	The Wizard of Oz, Grease, Phantom of the Opera, 50 First Dates, Steel Magnolias, Beaches... basically any musical, good comedy or drama.
Favorite Music	Alternative, Folk Rock, Contemporary Christian... basically anything other than RAP!
Favorite Books	The 5 people you meet in Heaven, A tree grows in Brooklyn
