| Introduction | Like most Buffalonians I love my hometown and want to see it reach its full potential. As a child I lived on the Lower West Side and in an international student residence hall at Buffalo State College. This atmosphere created a passion for learning about other cultures. After graduating from City Honors High School I translated this passion into a Religious Studies degree with a concentration on the religions of Asia. During my junior year I spent a semester at Beijing Language and Culture University and later completed a Master's degree in Multidisciplinary Studies by taking classes at both UB and Buffalo State (I attempted to create my own Asian Studies Master's program). My wife and I live in Buffalo (i.e. Black Rock) with our three young children and we never want to leave, except for future trips to China and the occasional vacation at Disney World. |
