| Introduction | For 100 days, starting on February 1, 2014, I will begin traveling from Denver, Colorado, through Aurora, Colorado, discovering obscure--and not so obscure--ethnic markets and restaurants. Aurora, Colorado, is a great, sprawling melting pot if a city that currently bills itself as "majority minority", with 115 languages spoken by its public school students. The area is full of immigrants seeking a lower-rent introduction to America. Within its borders, one will find a vast multitude of markets and restaurants, catering to the palates of those from every continent--particularly Africa, Asia and the Middle East. Some of these establishments are large and fairly well known outside of Aurora, others are tiny storefronts, often hidden in strip malls. Thanks for visiting and I hope this blog inspires you to set out on a culinary pilgrimage of your own! --K. |

If you could peer far enough into the night sky, you'd see a star in any direction you looked. When would you sleep?
