| Introduction | I was diagnosed August of 2009; I was put on oral meds but was not getting better. I went from oral medications, to a central line. I was in heart failure. Apparently my heart was so enlarged it was pretty much a time bomb. I was told that I needed a central line and refused it; my dr. kicked everyone out of my room and actually sat down and talked to me. I thank God every day that this man did not listen to me. Getting my central line and getting used to the IV medicine has been a challenge mental and physically. I am blessed with an amazing mom, pictured with me, and friends. I chose each day how good a day I am going to have, I will not let PH control my life. I no longer think about the things I cannot do, I think about the things I can do. There is no cure, but there is no cure for cancer either. My best friend has two sayings that are my mantra: "you can do hard" and "if it were meant to be different it would be". I truly believe that. There is a lesson in everything that happens in life. I am grateful for everyday that I wake up and have another opportunity to be an example of the person I am supposed to be. |
