| Introduction | I didn't set out to be an equine photography. Technically, I'm a "lifestyle" portrait photographer. I take casual, unposed, outdoor photos of people just being themselves. So how did I become a horse photographer, you ask? Well it's a funny little story. To make it brief, I ran into Juan Carlos Iriarte and his lovely fiance, Lisa Dwyer, at our local vet one morning. We got talking and they invited me out to take pictures of their horses. Juan spent a lot of hours patiently teaching me what to look for when photographing Paso Fino horses. And since then, my budding Equine Photography business has just blossomed! I LOVE IT! I love the horses, I love the people. It's just a real pleasure to capture them both on "film". I hope to be doing this for many years to come. |
