| Introduction | My name is Nicky. I live in England normally, in Tadcaster, with partner Adam. In late 2007 we crossed the Himalayas on an old bike, and decided we liked it so much we'd do it properly. So now we are going across the world on an old motorbike (a 21yr old BMW R100GS called Manfred), from the UK to Australia. We saved up for a year and a half, so its a bit of a dream. We set off in April and have now reached Australia, where we will work for money to continue. We've been through France, Italy, Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, India, Nepal, Bangladesh, India again, Thailand, Laos, Thailand again, Malaysia, Indonesia, East Timor and now Australia. Its good fun, this bike-travel stuff. These are my weekly tales of the absurd, strange and downright odd things that happen on the way.
