| Introduction | Scott R. Welvaert currently lives in Chaska, MN with his wife, two daughters and a dog named Sparrow. His poetry has been previously published in the Rockhurst Review, Chiron Review, Rockford Review, Cold Mountain Review, Jabberwock Review, Rosebud, Birmingham Poetry Review, Valaparaiso Poetry Review and numerous other magazines and journals across the country. His first book of poetry, Pacific, won the 2007 Sol Books Poetry Award and is available through Skywater Publishing. Having published numerous non-fiction children’s literature, Scott’s most recent work is a children's adventure novel series including The Curse of the Wendigo and The Mosquito King, both available through Stone Arch Books. |
| Interests | Popcorn movies, books, family time, hunting, fishing, football, my dog, Natalie Portman, writing, reading, glam rock, really good #2 pencils, those big Christmas lights, tennis, baseball, good food, anything that begins with "Johnny" and ends in "Depp", internet videos of people unintentionally hurting themselves, wine, Long Island Iced Tea, and the smell of a freshly cut lawn. |
