|Introduction||Hi, my name is Terri and I will be your server tonight. Would you like to start with something to drink while you look at the menu? Dumb beginning, right? I mean, really, I have been working on this little intro for over a year and still draw a blank for a good beginning. Everything I have tried sounds so dorky after the "Hi, my name is Terri and...". I started my food blog in July of 2010 and have found food blogging to be a many faceted creative outlet--cooking, photography, writing. It stretches and challenges me in ways I could not have imagined a year ago. The recipes are frequently my own homesy creations, but now and again I take a walk on the wild side and explore foods that are a bit unexpected. My blog is, in a sense, a documentation of my life past and present. Here, I often mix humorous life experiences and stories with my recipes because food is at its best when you have a happy heart. I find joy in being a woman, a wife, a mother, a grandmother, and a nurse. While I take my roles seriously, I believe that every day deserves laughter and that there is humor to be found at every turn. It's all a matter of perspective.|
|Favorite Movies||The Princess Bride, While You Were Sleeping (all except for the swearing), The A and E version of Pride and Prejudice (with Colin Firth), most of the Star Trek movies (yep, told you I am a dork), Lord of the Rings, Anne of Green Gables, White Christmas, Wonder Man (with Danny Kaye), Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer (been watching it every year since I was 9!)|
