| Introduction | Hi my name is Becky. I'm a Navy girl, soon to be law student, fitness fan, and self-declared health nut. Over the past several months I have been so inspired and motivated by other people's blogs that I thought I'd start my own with the hope of some day doing the same for others. But more importantly, even if it ends up that no one wants to read my chatter, I think that keeping this blog will help keep me motivated and accountable for my own actions and decisions. My goal is to keep pushing myself to expand my horizons and try new things so that YOU can be entertained by (and possibly learn from) my experiences and hopefully not repeat my inevitable newbie blunders. | Interests | I define myself as an optimistic realist. I believe strongly in honesty, love, and continual self-improvement. I don’t think feigning stupidity is cute. I am a walking dichotomy between loving old-fashioned traditions and striving for progressive roles and responsibilities. I'm fascinated by the study history and a borderline neat freak. I actually look forward to Mondays because Monday nights are strictly reserved for girls' nights and guilty TV pleasures. I love sharp wit and believe that a person's character is revealed by what they laugh at. I have strong senses of ambition and loyalty - to a fault. I agree with Mark Twain that, "Patriotism is supporting your country all the time and your government when it deserves it." I am a forward thinker/dreamer and love to enthusiastically plan ahead... problem is, my life plan changes every few days! I am doing my best to be true to myself. |
