| Introduction | Why "17th Most Popular"? According to the 1990 census, Thompson is the 17th most common surname in these United States. Has that ranking changed in the past few decades? Most likely....but since the U.S. Census Bureau took their time tallying the results from the 2000 census, it's all we had to work with. Will we change the name with the "new" data? Of course not. Why should we change? They're the ones who suck. |
