IntroductionGiven her sweet nature, Jen should be living an adventure-less life devoid of trauma and intrigue. This is not the case.
InterestsTaking it all in with childish awe, talking to strangers, gathering other perspectives, people watching, getting lost and occasionally finding ones way again, reading good literature, photography still & motion, bike-riding, travel, film, the great outdoors, new experiences and all things Anthony Bourdain (except for the inevitably unavailable thing). And I also have a mild horse habit.
Favorite moviesNo Country for Old Men, Wall-E, Nanny McPhee, Tropic Thunder, Adams Family Values, Steel Magnolias, Boondock Saints, Goodbye Lenin, An Ideal Husband, The Madness of King George, Amadeus, Thank You For Smoking, There Will be Blood, The Last of the Mohicans, Platoon, The Emperor's New Clothes (live action Napoleon one, not that crap Disney movie), Galaxy Quest, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Pirates of the Caribbean, Traffic, Fight Club, Princess Bride, True Lies, Shaolin Soccer, Usual Suspects, Apollo 13, The Big Lebowski, Shaun of the Dead, The Labrynth, The Iron Giant, The Never Ending Story, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Pan's Labyrinth, Garden State, The Queen, Charlie Wilson's War, Anne of Green Gables
Favorite musicWidor's Tocatta from Organ Symphony Number 5 - it's audio crack for the ears. Best live or when standing in the middle of a room full of speakers. And can't find a version good enough to share here. The song is uplifting and macabre and sensual but holy GOD I love it. When played well. And it is easy to mess up.
Favorite booksThe Book of Vice, Spook, Thank you for Smoking, Yes Man, Kitchen Confidential, Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius, Me Talk Pretty One Day, Jeeves and Wooster, The Great Shark Hunt, Love Thy Neighbor, Trainspotting, Autobiography of Ben Franklin, The Orchid Thief, Catch 22, Stiff, Cellini's autobio, anything by HS Thompson
