Introduction | Soshel Clothing began when I desired to have a logo of my own, one that was both like able and could spark a trend. Growing up wearing the clothing lines of other designers, I remember wanting to design and have my own clothing line that everyone could wear. Soshel represents living within an organized community. Everyone is Soshel in some way, whether in his or her community, at work, or just out having a good time. I chose the ant as my logo to represent this, since it is an ancient representation of working together within its own community. I was introduced to fashion when I was 12 years old. I was given new school clothes from my older sister that came home to visit. It was a unique style of clothing not commonly seen among my peers; it was a style distinct of New York City. I liked the style so much I continued dressing in this particular way even though I was the only one in my neighborhood. Of course my style evolved, but my originality caused my peers to admire and sometimes question my fashion sense. |
