Introduction Artist Gale Fulton Ross was born in Medford, Massachusetts. She has a Bachelors Degree from Massachusetts College of Art and a Masters of Fine Art from California College of Arts and Crafts, Berkeley. She currently shares studios in New York and Los Angeles. Her main studio is a 4000square foot warehouse in Sarasota. Gale is represented by Allyn Gallup Gallery. Her artwork can be found in public and private collections nationally and internationally. She has been commissioned to do the portraits of several highly visible artist, educators and politicians. Fulton Ross currently has two touring exhibitions: “Ain’t I A Woman Too?!” and Fulton Ross’ Divine Comedy. She was a spotlighted artist in Beyond The Border San Diego’s first International Contemporary Art Fair, September, 2009. The artist is the founder of The Fulton Ross Fund for Visual Artists, Inc. established in l995. Most recently she received a national public art commission from the city of Opa-Locka, Florida to do a 30’ stainless-steel sculpture titled: “One Story.” The apparition-like sculpture is the head of a woman. The installation date is February, 2013.
