Introduction | Sysop of GB7MBC and G4ELI-9 DXClusters. Married to Linda G0YLM. Worked for British Telecom for over 33 years as both an engineer and professional sales consultant in the business sector. I took very early retirement in April 2007. Worked part time as a computer engineer, becoming an Apple Certified Mac Technician and Apple Certified iOS Technician around 2014. I finally retired in 2019. Also keeper of the GB7MB C4FM Repeater and GB3MO Allstar Repeater. Involved in amateur radio for many years taking the 12wpm morse exam in 1995 to obtain the Class A UK licence. Main station consists of an Elecraft K3s, P3, KPA500 and KAT500. Audio is provided by a Heil Goldline mic and a Heil Proset HC5 headset. Antennas are a trap dipole for 80m/40m and a Cushcraft R6000 for 20m-6m. A Begali Simplex key or a Begali Pearl is used for CW. Portable station is an Elecraft KX3, Mission RGO One and QCX Mini and JPC-12 & Slidewinder verticals. I am enjoying POTA activations currently and I have a YouTube channel dedicated to it.
