| Introduction | As you can probably tell from the Interests list, I'm a bio sciences geek first and foremost. Take an aspect of nature, tack an "-ology" onto it, and I've probably either read a book on the subject or would like to. How do chickens tie into this? Call it a study. |
| Interests | Bio Sci, writing, pet poultry, science fiction, carving, painting, crocheting, beading, sketching, gardening, hiking, geology, meteorology, ornithology, botany . . . . |
| Favorite movies | How to Train Your Dragon, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, They Were 11, Star Wars (the original), Mulan. |
| Favorite music | Soundtrack to Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Russian Christmas Music by Alfred Reed, any of the instrumentals from Lodoss Wars or Escaflowne, most material by Ray Stevens, Star Wars (the original), anything by The Limeliters. |
| Favorite books | C.J. Cherryh's Foreigner series, Robin McKinley's The Hero and the Crown, anything at all by Terry Pratchett, the collected poems of Rudyard Kipling and Robert Frost, and the Roget's Thesaurus that lives on top of my computer. |
If mud is dirt plus water, what is clay?
Clay is the personification of the Prankster in earth form. It blunts shovel blades when dry, and embraces them with adhesive passion when wet. It molds obligingly into pots and sculptures, but the minute you try to fire your work to permanence, it may crack or collapse for no visible reason. It loves a pratfall. It eats boots. And you can never quite get all of it out from under your nails.
