Introduction	Eight years ago, I was given my little Swifty for my birthday. Previously, I had enjoyed sailing, windsurfing, and canoeing, but had expressed a wish for a little boat that I could take anywhere by myself. Although I am currently shopping for another kayak, this short, fat little boat has served me beautifully in paddling the rivers, creeks, and lagoons of Florida. I've been inspired by Peggy and Dave's weblogs, and have decided to give it a try myself, with the intention of sharing Florida's frail beauty and inspiring in others the desire to protect it. My camera is a Minolta Dimage, which is unfortunately not waterproof, and will no doubt meet its demise one fine day.
Interests	Camping, bicycling, kayaking, photography, protecting what remains of Florida's natural habitat.
Favorite Books	River of Lakes, by Bill Belleville, Shakespeare, Jane Austen; I read voraciously and widely, favorites are too numerous to list.
