| Introduction | I am mother of two who has embarked on a personal journey of promoting the conservation of sharks through voluntary action of advocating "no shark fins" served for wedding banquets. As an avid diver, i have come to learn of the disastrous chain effect to our eco system if sharks become extinct. This started at my own wedding in 2010 and since then with my own monetary and time resource, i have been helping newly wed couples who share the same ideals to promote shark saving at their wedding dinners. Using custom designed table information cards to educate and build awareness on shark conservation, i have made many shark fin free wedding dinners possible with the conviction of newly wed couples whom have elected to place such cards at their dinner tables thanking guests for their understanding on why they have chosen not to serve " a traditional luxurious" dish deemed compulsory for a chinese wedding dinner. |
