About me

Gender Female
Occupation singer/songwriter & full-time Momma
Location ...where the wind comes sweeping down the plains...
Introduction "I'm just a girl, little 'ol me Don't let me out of your sight I'm just a girl, all pretty and petite So don't let me have any rights Ohhh I've had it up to here!" *thank you No Doubt! Oh but no, I'm not just a girl. In addition to being a female I'm also a singer/songwriter, blessed wife and newish momma, a devoted friend, a very loved daughter and chick full of thankfulness for all she has even though the road, as well as the journey, can be quite bumpy along the way!
Interests I love music (listening, songwriting, singing), reading, writing, photography and being creative. Higher always on my list though is spending time with my incredible husband-wonderful family and great friends. Lower on my list are my 'guilty pleasures'. I can't reveal all my debauchery but more than a few tv shows are included on the list as well a certain celebrity gossip blogger with rainbow shades of hair and any kind of cheeseburger oh and sleeping in though that happens rarely these days!
Favorite Movies Usually comedies, feel good movies, Disney's movies are high on my list (I suppose I'm a kid at heart). I also like musicals and action movies. I'll say no thank you to horror movies or overly depressing flicks.
Favorite Music I can't even start because I won't be able to stop. Music is that important to me. My tastes are eclectic. I like to mix it up. Of course I have some favorites but I wouldn't want to cause any jealousy issues. ☺ If you are really interested feel free to ask... BUT here's a few freebies: The Civil Wars, Paramore, The Fray and Matchbox Twenty
Favorite Books Again there are oh so many... mostly non-fiction: The Genesse Dirary, Blue Like Jazz, Through Painted Deserts, Searching For God Knows What, Everybody's Normal Until You Get To Know Them, An Hour On Sunday Morning, Courageous Leadership, Volunteer Revolution, A Work of Heart, Enter The Worship Circle, The Heart of a Worshipping Artist, The Emerging Chruch, Seizing Your Divine Moment, An Unstoppable force, Orbiting The Giant Hairball, Little Women. In the fiction category I'm not ashamed to say Twilight, the Host and I think the Shoppaholic book series is pretty funny. I'm also reading a lot of books for the Younger set these days such as: Goodnight Moon, Goodnight Gorilla, The Pookie Books, If You Give a Pig A Pancake; Cat a Cupcake; Moose A Muffin etc!
