Introduction A full-time artist since 1989, specialising in landscape and marine subjects. I am a watercolourist, known for minutely observed paintings of small wooden boats, architectural subjects, and beach scenes. I have shown regularly since 1990 at The Gallery, Holt, Norfolk, with one-man shows there, most recently in 2014 and 2019. I've also shown at Mandell’s Gallery, Norwich, and other East Anglian galleries. I am one of the four founder members of the I.E.A. (Institute of East Anglian Artists), and a member of the East Anglian Group of marine Artists. Since 1977, I've shown work with the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours (R.I.), & the Royal Society of Marine Artists. Since 2010, I have worked on a side project of surreal pictures of an imaginary world, entitled “Abyssworld”, adopting the pseudonym of 'Nebbid Werdna'. An exhibition of the series was staged in 2020/1 at Primeyarc, Great Yarmouth. “878 - Settling Gernemutha” - is an illustrated children's story, to be published by Wall Road Publishing in Aug 2023. It is the tale of the first families to settle the island that was Great Yarmouth, in the Anglo-Saxon era.
