| Introduction | What is Cultiver? It is an eco-ethical, handmade fashion, accessories and homewares store in Ipswich, Qld. The combined retail and workshop space for creative folk is located at 2/126 Brisbane Street, right in the thriving Top of Town precinct. Top of Town is quickly becoming a hub for artists and crafters with galleries, coffee shops and boutique retail shops. We focus on ethically sourced, handmade products from local and Australian artisans. Cultiver (the French word for cultivate) is determined to raise the status of modern, handmade designers and help them grow through promoting them in a retail venue as well as offering a workshop space on an hourly rental. The shop space itself is huge with a fantastic retro feel, massive display windows and change room facilities. It is furnished in retro-granny-chic…harking back to the good old days of handmade. There is a knitting corner where you can relax on couches and share a cuppa, a library filled with inspirational handicraft books and records and a cozy, friendly atmosphere.. |
