Introduction WATER - it's such a big part of my life. I started swimming competitively when I was 13 years old. I swam for my university team, which introduced me to open water swimming in 1994 at training camp in Florida when we did the Ocean Mile Swim. In 1995, I was part of a relay team that swam across Lake Ontario. Also in 1995 I did my 1st triathlon. In 1999, I had my 1st daughter, who is now an awesome swimmer. After some time off with my family, in 2004 I found my way back to the pool and began competing as a "Master". In 2007, I had my 2nd daughter, but this time I swam through most of the pregnancy and was back at it as soon as possible. And in 2008, my husband learned to swim so that we could do our 1st Ironman triathlon together - Ironman Louisville (Kentucky) 2009. Water has provided me with many of my friends and been behind many of my advantures. As my youngest is showing a pure love for the water, we seem to have become a family of fish…
