About me

LocationNorth Idaho, United States
IntroductionHaving studied art at the old Los Angeles Art Center College of Design, where many of the instructors had studied in Europe and/or had many many years of in-the-field experience. I started off as an Illustrator, and with my first offer to a museum one artist exhibition in the summer of 1977, I made the transition to fine arts, where I have maintained my current career as a fine artist. Always an "impressionist", even when it was NOT accepted by galleries and collectors. Today, it seems the tide has turned, and everyone is seeking how to paint "looser". My primary work is either plein air or alla prima, however occasionally I do create commissions, and composite creations, in order to achieve what the patron is seeking. Over the years I have taught, sharing those things that I have found that work for my art....also have written a book En Plein Air, which is out of print in the U.S. and Canada....but some copies are still available on the net. Also available is a small edition (only 80 copies left), which highlights 24 originals plein air pieces, which can be ordered from my web site. How exciting, to spend one's life, on a continual, non-stop advernture!
