For some reason stifling laughter can be the best kind. Listening to my son's crazy responses as he cleans when he doesn't want to. How many parents get to hear, "I'm going to call my union rep. I don't think this is in my contract at all"? Before Sick and During My Short Reprieves: EATING!!!!, traveling, hiking, skiing, festivals, parades, The Smithsonians (when I lived there), hugging relatives, galavanting with Jana, a truly amazing young woman and my loving, funny, intelligent, happy, adventurous daughter. Jana and I still get to galavant from time to time. |
