| Introduction | A graduate student at California State University, Northridge (CSUN). Currently attending the Master's program in Journalism, Mass Communications, and Media. This blog, "Running as a lifestyle in California" is a part of my multimedia project for the New Media class at CSUN. This blog will include interviews from several runners, marathon events in Southern California, health related issues, and at the same time, explore the gratification and motivation of running. Running is a lifelong activity. In my opinion, I believe running has a lasting impact on the runners lives far beyond, whether it is the running itself or health or the enjoyment of the atmosphere that defines Southern California - a place where the mild and mellow California beach culture is woven into every aspect of its laid back lifestyle. I am absolutely fascinated by the variety of things that inspire people to run, walk, or do whatever they love to stay active and fit. It is the dedication to being active that matters. |
