| Introduction | When I say "I was born with a c in the palm of my hand"... What I mean to say is that I was born with a crafters ability. Passed down through the females side of my family. That attains to first my Mam, then myself and finally my very creative daughters. How lucky we are to have and maintain these traditional Irish crafts? I work full-time, but the time when I get to nurture my creative side is precious to me. It is the time when you feel most content because you are expressing yourself. Be it through craft or other art-forms . I have taught craft classes in the past. On my craft CV I can include; embroidery, macrame, knitting, crocheting, Mountmellick-embroidery, appliqué, decoupage, basket weaving and lace-making. My mother was the cook in a Aristocrats house, from her I also inherited a love of cooking. So I suppose the C could also stand for cooking:) I also enjoy my garden. In particular my greenhouse, fruit trees and my vegetable patch which I only began working on 3 years ago. I hope you enjoy my craft projects and other updates. |
