| Introduction | My trees are about people; isolation of people, which is the bare essence of human race. They illuminate the intimacy of seeing into someone’s soul, the essence of their vulnerabilities. Thus leaving them no masks which to hide behind. Emphasizing an individual’s parts, characteristics, behavior, habit, the vulnerabilities of being alone in a pool/forest of people, highlighting their sadness, beauty, mystery, isolation, separation and transparency. In reality, revealing only the parts we want others to see, and masking out or hiding other parts. Accentuating things we accidentally or purposefully reveal. Thus testing the observer how much of us they can take, see, get to know, who is trustworthy enough, brave enough to remain even after seeing some of our unpleasantness, our scary and not so beautiful parts. |
