| Introduction | I love food! I love cooking it, watching it on TV, serving it to my friends, trying new kinds (and taking those flavors home), and the thrill of playing with new ingredients! My love of cooking comes from my family--specifically my grandfather, John, and my mom, Ruth. He showed me raw passion but she gave me my first set of skills by teaching me to bake things like chocolate chip cookies, cakes out of the box, and pudding pies. I have been in the military, worked as both a personal trainer and kickboxing instructor, and I'm currently a student at San Francisco State University closing in a bachelor's degree in Spanish. These very different life experiences give me a highly unique viewpoint, as I look at health and convenience/on-the-go factor in addition to always getting the best flavors possible out of my ingredients. Over the last two years, thanks in large part to me getting back to my roots (physically and metaphorically), my love of, knowledge of, and skill with food has increased dramatically. So I encourage you to join me in getting outside of your comfort zone and start cooking all those things you want but don't know how to make!!! |

If you could peer far enough into the night sky, you'd see a star in any direction you looked. When would you sleep?
When I got tired. Duh.
